Thats the kind of post I was sorta looking for in these threads. :-) Just sorta speaking "as if" or "assuming" there is a god. But in a way, it would be just like Fate. If there is Fate (such as in a deterministic universe) then it is almost like a God, just not a Catholic/Islamic/etc god, but still something that has a total observance and control of everything. A "dictatorship" is a good word for it.

Just had a random and crazy thought. If God exists and is the creator of the universe, having no equal or better, does that mean we are ruled under a dicatorship?

Fate is only a theory that means there is a set course something will run on. Fate cannot be a God, it can't pre-determine things, use divine power, or enforce anything, it's only a term, not a being, of, if such a thing exists, what will occur in the future.

IRT DR: The difference between fate and god is that fate is not religious, is not personal, and is not an active entity of any kind. I wouldn't say it has observance, it's not even a being, it's just a rule.

Your means to conclude that fate is god creates an ambiguous fault within your statement. If I construe your statement literally - and do not seek qualm of it on my behalf, your English is difficult enough to understand already - you claim that we owe it to fate for what we shall do in the future. What I mean to tell you, granted we take it for right that Fate is a realistical factor, is that that does not mean Fate is God.

Who claims that God, if there is such a thing as God, creates our futures? And if God did create our futures, would that mean that that would be all he does? Fate is merely a theory that all things run a certain course through life. The God most of us worship certainly has no field limited to the quarantines of that particular area, no, his influence is all-encompassing.

I don't know where such an asburd idea as "God is Fate" arose from, but needless to say, it is far too deminutively thought out to speak for any idea that may support God's personality or existence.
